2nd W

This Album was released by W (Double You) on 2005-3-2

EPCE-5355

Unlike in Duo U&U, many of the songs on this new album are original, as opposed to being covers.

The album has every song W has released as a single since their first album (no B-sides, though).

The album was leaked in February and the original such release had somewhat odd romanizations of the songs; The ones I have used should be pretty much correct.

Review:
  • W no Theme: This one could've been left out without in any way decreasing the quality of the album
  • Decoboco Seventeen: One of the best songs; the tune is catchy and their singing is excellent.
  • Robokiss: One of their singles; an original song, and while not especially great, a good song nonetheless.
  • Samidare Koiuta: If you enjoy their slower songs, this one may be excellent; in any event, not a bad song; Update: As it is, I consider this to be the best H!P song ever.
  • Aa Ii Na: One of their singles; some people like this, some people love this, and some people hate this. Perhaps one of their more controversial songs in that sense.
  • Dakishimenaide ~Nikki Tsuki~: This is one of their longest sogs ever at 5:21. In my opinion the length works against the song making it a bit too monotonic especially with the not-so-energetic singing. Overall, not a bad song either.
  • Da-bu-ru-yuu Joshi Koutougakkou Kouka: What on Earth is the reason for this song? Doesn't get any worse than this
  • 18 ~My Happy Birthday Comes!~: One of their more energetic songs (which suits me). Sounds a pretty typical single b-side making this good song, but nothing spectacular.
  • Koi no Fuga: Their most recent single, which in my opinion works especially well as a live song, but as a single (or album song), not that well.
  • Interlude: My opinion is that interludes are pointless, but if you're going to have one, this is one of the better ones (of those on H!P albums).
  • 17 no Natsu: Nice combination of energy and yet pleasant in terms of not being too strong.
  • 17sai yo Sayounara (ARRIVEDERCI): A slow song, and a good one at that. Not one of their best ones, but not bad either.
  • Mada Mou Chotto Amaeteitai: One of the best songs.

Overall:
The album is truly excellent (although I should probably mention that I am a fan of W); the songs (other than the 3 fillers [theme, Da-bu-ru-yuu Joshi..., interlude]) are all good and not one song that I didn't like.
