Sayumi is part of the sixth generation. As was somewhat the case with Rika, Sayumi's not that much about talent, but more about her looks -- along with Rika the two are often considered to be the two worst singers in the group.

This conclusion is somewhat supported by her solo photobook, released in 2004, which featured more than its fair share of bikini shots -- especially for a 15-year-old girl.

Along with Rika Sayumi was a member of Ecomoni in summer of 2004.
