Hello! Database: Ai Kago

Without doubt one of the cutest member of Morning Musume (although many place Nozomi Tsuji before her), Kago was chosen to be a part of Morning Musume through the fourth generation audition at only 12 years of age. She and Nozomi Tsuji, also from fourth generation, have been close friends since their audition. In the past the two often looked and act alike, and often were in similar roles in singles and PVs. Around the time Morning Musume was split into Sakura Gumi (with Ai) and Otome Gumi (with Nozomi) the two started having more distinct styles, although being in W now they often wear more or less same set of clothing.

To further complement their similarity, the two were members of the subgroup Mini Moni from the beginning to the end of the group in May of 2004. In addition to that, Ai was a member of Tanpopo until the subgroups were shuffled in 2002. Ai and Nozomi graduated together from Morning Musume in August of 2004.

To be more specific, the two of them are now the two members of W, their very own group. The group debuted in spring of 2004 with a single and it has already released two albums and numerous singles. Follow the link to read more.

Editor's Opinion:
In my opinion, Kago's best song is Samidare Koiuta on W album 2nd W. Nozomi is also singing, but in the song Tsuji is more of a backup singer than a lead.
