Hello! Database: W (Double You)

W is the group of two people - the leader is Nozomi Tsuji and the subleader is Ai Kago. In May of 2004 the group released its first single, Koi no Vacance and in June they released their first album, Duo U&U. Since then the group has been putting out singles at a relatively rapid rate.

Many of the group's early releases were covers of old Japanese songs, but more recently they have had original songs as well.

For most of its existence W has been the most active group in Hello! Project in terms of releases, being rivalled only by Berryz Koubou. The group debuted in May of 2004 and has released no less than 4 singles with a 5th one coming in May, two albums, a photobook, a concert DVD (shared with Berryz, though) and a PV collection DVD with otherwise unseen PVs.

The DVD has PVs for four of the songs on the album Duo U&U: (Shiroi Iro wa Koibito no Iro, Sabishii Nettagyou, Southpaw and Matsu wa).

Note: This group is named W -- the names Double You and Double U are used mostly as the pronounciation and used in written form only to avoid confusion, as the name "W" is almost impossible to be used with search engines.
