Hello! Database: Sakura Gumi

Note: This group is sometimes called Morning Musume Sakura Gumi (abbr. MMSG)

Sakura Gumi is one half of Morning Musume, from when it was split into two groups in 2003 (the other being Otome Gumi). The original leader of the group was Natsumi Abe, but since her graduation that task was taken over by Mari Yaguchi.

Sakura Gumi has been more successful of the two groups; neither group has been active since spring of 2004.

Now that Mari as well has left Morning Musume, should Sakura Gumi return, there is no information on who would be its leader.
