Hello! Database: Ayaka Kimura

Ayaka is one of the original members of Coconuts Musume, and the only remaining member of it at the moment.

Ayaka's is generally best known for a segment called "Ayaka's Totsugeki Eikaiwa" or "Ayaka's Surprise English (Lessons)". In the segment she taugt (or at least tried to...) English to the members of Morning Musume. Due to the fact that the members do their best to speak English clips of these segments are often some of the favorite clips of H!P fans who don't understand Japanese. And it's hilarious, no doubt about it.

As Coconuts Musume lost its second last member Mika in spring of 2004, the group hasn't done anything since, as there have been no additional members. Ayaka has spent her time studying, and she also hosts two radio shows. In Hello! Project performances she has been in the role of a backup dancer, besides the fact that she is of course performing in the Hello! Project Allstars single.

It is a rather odd situation as Ayaka is alone, but still performing as a Coconuts Musume member rather than solo.
